What should I bring with me?
It is important to make sure to bring a valid piece of photo identification, which includes a date of birth (i.e: Medicare card, driver’s licence, passport, or other types of identification that include a photo and birthdate.) Without proper identification, you will be unable to fill out our mandatory release form and we will not be able to pierce you.
Do I need to make an appointment or come in for a consultation?
Piercings are on a walk-in basis so you do not need to make an appointment. If there is already a piercing taking place, you may have to wait, so it’s best not to be in a hurry!
*If you would like to start a more complex piercing project, a consultation may be best, and an appointment may be necessary.
**If you are a male looking to get an apadravya or ampallang piercing, a consultation is necessary in order to mark the piercing and then send you home to take measurements (we will show you how and provide the instruments). The piercing will then take place on appointment. we need to talk about this at a meeting
Do I need to be 18 years old?
Except for genital piercings, large-gauge piercings and scalpeling, you do not need to be 18 years old. The minimum age requirement is 16 (with valid ID).
If I am under 16 years old, can someone “sign” for me?
If you are under 16 years old, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with appropriate ID. A birth certificate is recommended, however we will also accept a government issued ID for the parent and an additional one for the customer, as well as legal documentation of proof of guardianship if it is a legal guardian.
We will not accept signed notes or phone calls, nor older sisters, aunts, friends, cousins, etc.
What is your jewelry made of?
All of our piercing jewelry is made of ASTM F-138 stainless steel, ASTM F-136 implant grade titanium, and solid 14kt gold. Higher purities of gold, as well as platinum can be ordered upon request.
Why are piercing guns bad?
Ear piercing guns are re-useable and therefore can put you in direct contact with the previous clients’ blood or other bodily fluids. The gun itself cannot be properly sterilized in an autoclave, it would melt. Therefore piercing guns are deemed unsafe and unhygienic. Also, they pose a risk to propel certain blood-borne diseases. Furthermore, piercing guns employ a blunt force to pierce through the tissue, causing significant and unnecessary tissue damage. Finally, the jewelry that loads into a piercing gun is inappropriate for initial piercings, and is often of low quality and improper length.
Another thing to consider: places that use ear piercing guns include mall kiosks, salons and jewelry stores. None of these places hire trained professional piercers. The products used to prep the skin for piercing are inadequate, and the aftercare instructions are often inappropriate. Why see a cashier at a a mall kiosk when you can see someone who is trained and has chosen piercing as a career?!
Can I get pierced while I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Due to our insurance policy, we cannot pierce pregnant women or nursing women who have given birth less than 6 months ago.
How many piercings can I get in one sitting? Do I get a discount for multiple piercings?
Depending on the locations of the different piercings, we do not recommend getting more than 3 piercings per sitting, and that you not be pierced more than once per month to allow your body time to recuperate.
You will find our prices to be most competitive; therefore we do not necessarily offer a discount for multiple piercings. We do however have weekly specials and contests weekly on our Facebook page. Do you offer genital piercings?
Yes we offer a wide range of genital piercings, however you must be at least 18 years of age or older. Keep in mind that most genital piercings are anatomically specific; we will be able to tell you if you are eligible for your desired piercing upon inspecting your anatomy.

Do you do micro-dermals?
Yes we do micro-dermals. Keep in mind that these piercings require a dedicated aftercare and are intended to be semi-permanent, so make sure you give the placement some thought.
Do I have to go to the hospital to remove my micro-dermal?
NO. we strongly suggest you return to see your piercer to have a micro-dermal removed.
Do I need to remove my jewelry for an X-Ray, CT Scan or MRI?
X-Ray/CT Scan?
Unless the jewelry is in the area of interest and may obscure the results of the imaging, they need not be removed. Make sure you verify this with your doctor beforehand that way you can come and have your jewelry removed properly if you are having difficulty, and you may even purchase plastic retainers to make sure your piercings remain opened (this is especially great for prolonged hospital stays).
MRIs: Implant grade metals such as titanium, niobium, or ASTM F-138 stainless steel are all non-magnetic and should not be displaced during the procedure. Some low quality metals are magnetic and may be dislodged during an MRI. If you are uncertain of the quality of your jewelry, it is best to have them removed. All of our Micro-dermal bases are implant-grade titanium and do not need to be removed for an MRI (although you may want to remove the top). If you must frequently undergo MRIs, we suggest ordering certified jewelry through us, that way you can provide your technician or doctor with a “metal verifications card” showing that your body jewelry will not pose a threat during the procedure.
Will my piercing set-off a metal-detector?
Because piercing-grade jewelry is non-ferromagnetic, it will not set off a metal detector!
How often can I stretch my piercing?
All piercings can be stretched and the waiting time can depend on the piercing in question, as well as how quickly your body recuperates. As a general rule of thumb, however, you should not be stretching your piercings more than once every 6 weeks. We can provide specific details in store depending on what you are stretching; while you’re there, ask us about our fidelity card to help you save money during your stretching journey!
Do you offer large gauge piercings/scalpeling?
We currently offer large gauge piercings and earlobe scalpeling, however these procedures are only available to customers over 18 years old. A consultation is strongly suggested as we may not have the jewelry in stock/may have to order a custom piece for you.
Can you numb the area/can I apply a numbing agent to the area before my piercing?
No. Piercers are not legally licensed to administer anaesthetic, as we are not doctors. While certain types of numbing creams are available at your local pharmacy, keep in mind that these are TOPICAL anaesthetics and piercings are piercing beyond that topical layer, rendering the cream or spray completely useless. We do not recommend these products because they are expensive for little “gain,” not to mention that piercings are truly not THAT painful. No pain, no gain.
